James Blunt Will Let Fans Pick a New Legal Name for Him… If His Album Goes No. 1!

James Blunt wants a number one album so badly, he’s willing to change his name!

The 50-year-old “You’re Beautiful” singer is re-releasing his album Back to Bedlam to celebrate its 20th anniversary and he has proposed a challenge to his fans.

If the album re-enters the charts at number one, James will legally change his name to whatever name fans agree on.

“Wanna ruin my life? If the 20th Anniversary Edition of my album Back To Bedlam re-enters the charts at number 1, I will legally change my name – to whatever you guys decide. Comment on this post below with suggestions for my name change, or like someone else’s comment to vote. The comment with the most likes on this post across my social media profiles on 11th October – when the album is released – wins. And then the race to number 1 begins!” he wrote on Instagram.
