Erik Menendez’s wife, Tammi Ruth Saccoman, was spotted for the first time in years as she left Snooty LaRue Pet Spa, the grooming business she owns in Las Vegas. The sighting in October 2024 came on the heels of the news that Erik and his brother Lyle Menendez’s case is under “review” amid new evidence. A hearing date was set for November 29, 2024, after Erik’s attorneys petitioned to have a letter written by him seemingly corroborates the brothers’ allegations of abuse from their father, Jose Menendez.

Love Behind Bars
Tammi and Erik met in 1997, several years after the two had begun communicating. When they met in person, both Erik and Tammi described their connection as love at first sight. The two officially wed in 1999 at Folsom State Prison.

Communication Is Key
Erik’s been incarcerated the entire time he and Tammi have been together. The couple is not allowed to have conjugal visits, but they’ve made their relationship work with regular visits and short phone calls.

Erik Menendez Has Gushed About Tammi in the Past
Despite the challenges Tammi and Erik face with him serving a life sentence, he said Tammi’s love motivates him to be a better person.
“Tammi’s love has propelled me to become a better person. I want to be the greatest possible husband to her. And this affects the choices I make every day in prison,” Erik said in an interview with People published in 2005. “Tammi has taught me how to be a good husband. There is no makeup sex, only a 15-minute phone call, so you really have to try to make things work.”
