Halle Bailey & DDG Split After More Than 2 Years Together, Rapper Issues Statement

Halle Bailey and DDG are calling it quits after more than two years of dating.

On Thursday (October 3), the 26-year-old rapper took to social media to reveal that he and the 24-year-old Little Mermaid actress had separated.

They began dating in early 2022 and welcomed their first child together – a son named Halo – earlier this year.

He opened up about the decision and how they are moving forward in a statement shared with his fans.

“After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared. Despite the change in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true,” he wrote on his Instagram story.

DDG continued, adding, “We are still best friends and adore each other. As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared. As we navigate this transition, we ask for your understanding and support.”

He signed off writing, “Thank you for your love and encouragement.”

Halle and DDG were last seen together in September. She does not seem to have commented on the split yet.

The couple has generated headlines multiple times since debuting their relationship. In July 2023, DDG sparked controversy online for the lyrics to his song “Famous,” which talked about being insecure about his girlfriend’s career and fame. He also addressed how they split their finances.
